Have you ever went back to a job you hated?

Bullying was seen as the norm and it came right from the boss at the top. I can't see any of it changing to be honest
Unfortunately where this is the case, unless there's a change of leadership, the problem is likely to be ongoing.
There's a possibility the increased confidence you have from knowing they thought you were great, and that you can get another job if you want to might make it easier to deal with, but it does sound like a situation best avoided.
You're obviously a very strong performer given you pleased the boss no one else could, so it shouldn't be to long before better opportunities come your way.

I think that you have answered your original question right there.
For the sake of your health, I would advise that you stay well clear of your old job.
Good luck, hope you find something else soon.:beer:0 -

Sorry but it's hard to keep saying this.
The previous posts from your good self would suggest you are trying for jobs with a higher salary/trying for progression or to totally different positions to what maybe you are already doing.
We're in times it may pay more to take a side wards move and build on from that, I know someone who accepted a min wage job in similar industry but with the opportunity of being on call at home at times for the company during it's out of hours, which would bolster their salary and could develop them. Going from call centre operative to admin in the main (In south east after one of the recent London disasters causing job openings)
Trying not to upset you, if the job search isn't yielding results, always relook at it.0
