Debt question

We are looking to move soon due to birth of new child. Ideally we'd like to go to new builds currently being built. I have spoken to my current mortgage provider (YBS) and they would give us the mortgage we need based on salary if we had no debt. We currently have £15,000 of CC debt, I also have approx £17,000 in shares through a work scheme that will be used to pay debt off. The problem is that YBS won't take this into consideration and I can't sell shares now (If I do I pay tax (40%) and lose some matching shares awarded, if I wait another 18 months I can start selling them tax free )
Does anyone have any advice? Know of a lender that would take shares into consideration?
Thanks

Forget the shares.
All lenders have different affordability calculations. Have a mess around with different lenders calculators. I did 2 today, one would lend £201k and another £213k.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
