POPLA Appeal online or by Post

I'm slightly worried that appealing by ParkWatch ticket through the POPLA online system isn't going to work as the process is a bit rigid. Can I appeal it the good old fashioned way with a template? Pam the NRK and Blue Badge Holder, fined for parking in a bay 5 days past my badge expiry, which was due to council admin error (waiting for letter from them as evidence). I have indefinite DLA award which as they council say is an Automatic Qualifier for a badge. Plus there is an issue with inadequate signage. Signs are far too small to read even standing in front of them. I am hoping for a period of Grace, but also relying on inadequate signage. It was a PCN from Parkwatch. I would really appreciate help with a template...x

see the NEWBIES sticky thread , post #3 , for advice on what to include in your popla draft
as for submission, once it is complete, save it in word as a pdf document , then choose OTHER on the popla website and upload the completed pdf
that way you are sure it gets there and no post involved0 -
the process is a bit rigid.
No it's not, we don't follow their rigid tick boxes, nor do we post POPLA appeals snail mail. When (in your research of reading loads of POPLA threads before posting this thread, to learn what to say and how not to lose) do you ever see us tell people to stick to the restrictive 2000-word-count in the useless POPLA boxes?
You will not be appealing to POPLA on the basis of mitigating circumstances unless you want to lose. This is not about your Blue Badge, unless you wish to roll over. And we don't want to you lose.
Please read the NEWBIES thread post #3 and also search 'ParkWatch POPLA' to read ones people have written in 2017, which won.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've found my first post Redex! However I goofed up on the POPLA appeal because I've actually missed the POPLA appeal deadline because I mixed the dates up...
What can I do now, is it a case of just ignoring any collections letters and hope they'll go away?
Seeing as they unlawfully released my information to a collections company during the first appeal, can I take action against them?
I've found this while saga so stressful that I'm wishing I'd paid the £60 much as I disagreed with it, and usually I'm pretty good at appealing things, getting down to the nitty gritty facts.
I suppose some you win and some you loose.
Is there any way of getting a new POPLA code?0 -
When was the POPLA deadline? You have 2 or 3 days beyond that.
If you've completely missed it, you have to ride this out for 6 years. PW have become mildly litigious of late, so you'll need to be on your toes for a LBA/LBCC coming through the post, or real court papers.

In terms of:Seeing as they unlawfully released my information to a collections company during the first appeal, can I take action against them?
If they sue you, I'd leave until then to consider a DPA counterclaim - but don't take that on lightly. Is there any way of getting a new POPLA code? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Missed it by 2 weeks, hadn't realised it was so strict, and the time has slipped me by, trying to manage 3 kids in the summer hols while not well. Paid too much attention to getting the actual appeal wording correct.
They're so slippery though these parking companies, when I appealed, the reply came to my junk inbox, so took me a while to realise it'd been responded to. That in itself shows how much they are unfair.
Their reply stated the fine was at another location, error - yes, but wouldn't this invalidate their reply?
Why are they allowed to behave like real cowboys and get away with it?0 -
ask your MP that question, it is the government that needs to sort it out , they promised to do so in the 2015 manifesto and the DCLG also had a public request for information as well, they have failed to deal with either0

My appeal deadline is today, is it safe to leave it for another day or two? I have my own thread open for my case, but I've only been able to get my draft together quite recently and no-one has had a chance to feedback as yet. I'd really like to wait for some feedback but concerned, after all the time invested in researching and creating it, that I'll miss the chance to submit it.0
