Interview advice

Hi,
Had a final interview yesterday, needless to say it did not go too well,
I was asked whether I had all first time passes for my exam, the answer was no, I said I had failed one, when in reality I had failed two having just received results for one I recently attempted a few days ago, now this was not intentional as my mind defaulted to an answer I gave pre-results.
Not sure if I should raise this or let it slide? should I receive and offer. or say something along the lines of 'I have just received my results which indicates..etc etc ' don't really want this to pop up during notice period etc.
Thanks for any advice
Thanks

Maybe wait until they offer you the job, then accept and clarify? Good luck (and I do totally understand why you made this mistake, so hopefully your employer will as well.)Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Hey,
Thanks for the reply, I am likely to hear back very soon so just preparing myself! In essence, is it better to:
1) Own up completely and say I defaulted to a pre-result answer
2) Own up but semi-lie say I had just received my results
3) Don't say anything
Not ideal, I know.0 -
If the interview "did not go too well" then surely it is probably a moot point... unless that was the only thing that didn't go well.
If it comes to it I would write an email along the following lines: "I am delighted to be offered the position, however there is one thing I have to correct to set my mind at rest; in the interview I said I had failed one of my exams. In fact I failed a second one only a few days ago. I had no intention to mislead, but I inadvertantly repeated the answer I'd given in my previous interview and the conversation moved on before I realised my mistake. I hope this is not too big a problem."
If they want to give you a job it seems very unlikely that requiring two retakes instead of one would be a dealbreaker.0
