Signs
Thank you for your kind comments everyone. We are all recovered and no lasting damage has been done.
Today has been a calmer day than we've had for a long while. I've done the meal planning for the week and put the grocery order through. Also confirmed my car insurance renewal. I haven't had time to do a comparison with everything else that's been going on but the renewal cost was lower than last year so I'm happy with that. I've ordered FDawg's food and treats - enough to keep us going for six to eight weeks. Mr F and I had a couple of book tokens so I called my local book shop and placed an order. They are starting to struggle and I would hate to lose them. The spray gun for our hose is leaking badly so we'll have to get another. It's a sealed unit so not something that can be repaired.
Breakfast today was Potato, Spring Onion, Dill & Cheese Frittata, lunch was Chestnut Mushroom, Fennel & Bacon Fusilli and supper will be the leftover sausages and red cabbage from yesterday with potato and swede mash.
I'll get to try out my new hairdryer later. My old one started tripping the lights just after New Year! Mr F had a look at it but it was so old that there was no saving it. I feel about hairdryers the same way I feel about handbags 😆 It may take me some time to get used to the new machine.
Mr F has a global conference call to join this evening - 9.00 pm to 12.00 am 😲 I shall catch up on some TV and carry on with the admin. Don't think I'll be waiting up with him to the end though - I've been yawning all day 🥱
On our walk with FDawg this morning we spotted some snowdrops - a little sign that the seasons are turning. We're half way through winter folks 😁

Hair today...
My new dryer has a rattle/vibration so it will be going back. I've decided to get the posh one I've been wanting for years instead. I have the money as I've stopped getting my hair coloured and have been saving the cash. So it's ordered and I hope it lives up to expectations 😆
I spent yesterday morning reconciling accounts. All balanced and I'm actually a bit better off than I thought. Then I battled through some of Mount Ironing. It grew over the Christmas break so it's going to take a few sessions before I can conquer it. The grocery shop was delivered and came in around budget. No veg box this week as we've still got plenty in the fridge.
Lunch was soup left over from the day before. Supper was Cauliflower Cheese & Bacon Quiche with chips and beans. There's enough left for tonight's supper so we'll have that with new potatoes and salad. We have got into the habit of eating our supper as a family around the dining table which is lovely.
The rest of my day was spent cleaning up the four pint bottle of milk that fell out of the fridge and smashed on the floor 😲
It's still feeling very busy as I'm trying to catch up on everything I neglected whilst helping Uncle F out. He'll be away for work most of next week so I'm hoping to have a little down time then. I'm not complaining - the weeks are passing quickly which means Spring will be here soon and, hopefully, the vaccine.
Hope everyone is safe and well.
