All Change
Oooh! Shiny new forum. I'm still exploring but have noticed that:- there's no subject/title box for posts now - not a problem as I can always add a title to the post itself
- we've lost the 'go to first unread post' option - I did find this useful, particularly if I hadn't been able to catch up on diaries for a while. It meant you didn't have to search around to find where you last left off
- some of the emojis haven't translated so these appear as symbols in past posts. Makes past posts more difficult to read and I will miss the rolling around laughing emoji - he was my favourite
- there is no multi-quote button - bit of a pain as it was useful to be able to group comments to reply. Made diaries a little tidier and easier to follow too. Hope they reinstate that one
- when you write a post it appears in double line spacing - bit annoying as, if you're writing a long post you can only see a section of it on screen and I find it harder to read. Have also just realised that you have to scroll up to add formatting and loose sight of the part you're adding formatting to. So a bit more than a bit annoying and calls for an angry emoji (where are you angry emoji - I miss you too).
I'm sure there are some gains as well as losses but I haven't discovered any yet(where's the rolling around laughing emoji when you need him).
I've had a day off today. Took my neighbour out for afternoon tea as a belated birthday present. They had a 2 for 1 offer on so it was £13.50 for the two of us. We could only eat half so brought the rest home for our hubbies. So a 4 for 1 offer really. Excellent value all round.
Our annex guests will be arriving soon and I have everything ready for them. Unfortunately Storm Ciara is due to hit tomorrow and is predicted to be worse than Storm Ophelia who you may remember ripped our barn roof off when we first moved hereI feel really bad for them as they are here to celebrate the husband's birthday and the attractions they planned to visit are likely to close now due to high winds. I've left a bottle of fizz in the fridge for them as a birthday surprise so perhaps they will just cosy up and sit things out. Thank goodness we had the roof fixed this week... I'm keeping my fingers crossed we won't suffer any further damage.
Mr F is in the barn making sure his truck and chain saw are in working order in case any trees come down in our hedgerow or on the local lanes. We will get out in the garden tomorrow morning for as long as we can and then batten down the hatches for the duration. The rugby is on so that will keep Mr F occupied and I can get on with some writing. Silver linings
Stay safe all

I miss the rolfl emoji too Fortune. The bold format doesn’t seem to work on my phone either. As for
multi quote I saw on another thread someone said you can still just press quote on each one and it will still multi quote iyswim. They had multiple quotes so it must work but haven’t tried it. Stay safe in the storm.3 -
Stay safe FS... I am sitting in glorious sunshine here in Brizzle - seems impossible that a big storm is brewing6

I got out in the garden too this morning Fortune - sunny here too although increasingly breezy and not exactly warm... Laid out a load of old floorboards to make my new compost bin, most exciting. Wind is definitely picking up now though and I have plenty of indoor tasks planned for tomorrow...5

Maybe not today though as the full force of the storm is upon us
Lots of indoor jobs to be getting on with here too. Have a great indoor day

No I certainly won't be doing anything out there today
In fact I'm tempted to shut the chickens back in as they're just blowing around the garden looking soggy.

What a weird weather day. It's been so sunny we had to open all the windows as it got so hot. It went pitch dark & hailed. We've had horizontal rain & at one point I was convinced all the trees were coming down & at one point when the rain eased went out to check the garage roof etc. A day I would rather not be repeated.PS what I originally intended to post about. I have found that once I have been on a thread I used to go on, that went back to the start, what a pain, but if I went to the end next time it went there automatically. Yes I know I wouldn't know this unless I spent way too much time on here!4
