halifax mortgage funds

I'm in the process of buying a property and want to finish this asap. Just wondering how long does halifax usually need to transfer the money to my solicitors account? My solicitor says 5 working days but I've read elsewhere that people are exchanging and completing on the same day.

Three of the 5 days are due to the transfer being BACS. If you want a faster transfer you can normally pay a little bit for a CHAPS transfer.0
