Gear Fit and S Health app

Hi, help needed please.

I've just started using the S Health app on my Samsung Note 4. The phone is a bit big to have in an armband while I run, so I'm looking to buy one of the Samsung fit bands (second hand).

Will the older Gear Fit work with the S Health app or should I be looking at a Gear Fit 2?

I can't answer your original question, but what I will say is - don't let your Gear Fit 2 completely drain.
When this happens, there's a chance it won't recharge and you have to send it off to be boosted.
