New job not working out

Won't bore with the links but simply google 'new job not working out' - and it doesn't seem that bad. Provided you've tried talking to someone and learn the lesson that for next time, more questions have to be asked. (I'm in this category)

Though I have come across a version where the person ended up in a better position so all is not lost.

Don't know but could you not agree if you don't get remainder of monies that they would at least confirm time spent at the company ?

Know someone who put a recent application into the one of the posher supermarkets to tide them over - The online application for the supermarket doesn't want to know details of job if 4 weeks or less - only takes details of one job so it seems very fortunate you'd put down details of the before employer.

Anyway let us know how you get on, I'm still waiting for a P45 from a temp job in January, no one ever asked for it, no one has asked me for one this year.
Somewhere I've started it was said I'd receive more info on the company once 2 weeks in hand business has passed, !!!!!!, in my opinion it is to late and madness, if someone has contact with their customers etc. What's the point in losing more confidence.

Not sure what is going on. Like to think the weather's playing a part.

Hello, I left this job on Thursday. I found some work through an agency, not ideal but it's close to home and I'll just see how it goes.

I worked 28 days in total there in total. Got paid 3 weeks worth of pay, over 2 payments. But nothing has shown up on HMRC online. So I don't think tax/ni has been paid.

Also, I was receiving tax credits based on disability. I totally forgot to renew and now the website won't let me.
I was due a payment Wednesday but I never got it.
I understand that it needs sorting out, and I'll phone them, but if tax/ni wasn't paid wouldn't it look like work on the side? I know some money was deducted cause I got around 600.77p.


The agency job says 48hrs 1 week, 36 the next. But there are reviews of people being sent home or going a week without work

It's tough but if people are putting reviews up publicly to complain, get themselves noticed, it's no wonder they are not going to get work/hours.

Sadly I beat you, I quit Monday after covering the holiday as that seemed the right thing to do, was thanked for doing it face to face, got to understand a real weakness I have so all wasn't lost, wish I had loved the business as I think that would have made things easier. I couldn't bear the thought of progression and wasting anyone's further time.

The company paid me as it turned out they outsourced payroll and
the one time I supplied my bank details by email, actually everything ended ok just this once if nothing else. Hope you get the other issues sorted.

Hello, the ne2 job is going alright upto now. I worked 48 hours in the 1st week and 36 hours week just gone. Back to 48 hours next week.

I haven't been paid off my last job yet.
I worked 28 days in total, 7.5 hours at 7.50 per hour per day. Plus 6 hours overtime.
Works out at £1620. Last month I got £906.77 split over 2 payments.
Nothing shows up on HMRC online which is odd cause I got paid yesterday off my new job and that's already there.

I was told by my last job I'd be paid at the end of the month. I sent a text on Thursday asking what day but I've not had a text back. It has been read cause it was on WhatsApp.

What should I do? I feel like it would be rude asking again but obviously I need to be paid.

I didn't sign any sort of contract when I started. I was told it was a trial period.
Before I left we talked about the interview for the job I currently have.
The other worker said something like if they got rid of my they would still give me notice.
The owner then turned round and said that doesn't apply to me as I'm on a trial.
I was also told that as I was looking for work they would start looking to replace me and I'd be gone once the new person was found.
My job was posted on indeed that day.

I did phone and quit on the day of the interviewer.

And I was told id be paid what's owed at the end of the month. Nobody ever said about a notice period so I don't think they can try and use that. Also I think I would still be owed a little even if they did.
