When does sick pay end?

The OP is blessed with corporate sick pay rather than just SSP so the company make the rules. I believe he needs to get hold of the detailed rules.0

Rather than just being the leave between trips, I suspect they look at sickness as blocks of 5 weeks - if you miss the 2 weeks you should have worked, they mark the entire 5 weeks as sick. They don't really care if you are sick or not when you aren't supposed to be working. But if (for instance) you only worked every other trip offshore for a year they would want the record to show 6 months sick, which would mean counting half your onshore leave time as sick.
We have something similar in my work handbook - if you are sick Monday to Friday they mark you down as sick for the weekend following too.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I absolutely agree. Its the companies own rules that count. You need to check if payroll/HR have applied their own policies correctly. If they have you have little option but to try and negotiate a repayment schedule.
