What I have tended to notice and we don't know the financial background of the person is people often who bought YS sticker items were ones who wore good clothes and drove off in nice cars and often were regulars who at each place I have been when I spoke to the staff they called "vultures" Worse was M+S where this guy came in every day and grabbed things out of staffs hands and blocked other people off and grinned and said "too slow" or "first come first served" to everyone but then would kick off whenever someone else got something first complaining about preferential treatment, oh and he wore expensive trainers and you saw him drive off in a newish BMW!!!
I remember going in with a few quid to last a week and people emptying reduced shelves not even caring what they picked up.
That guy should be banned for agressive behaviour. Someone needs to contact M&S about himThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
At my local Morrison's seen a woman reserving items that she knows will be reduced soon, putting them in a neat pile in front of her and positioning a shopping trolley to block any access. Half tempted just to take them all and pay full price0

I use to work in a Supermarket and hated marking down items late on as customers were shockingly rude. I've seen fights, woman barged out of the way, I've been pushed. Some people's behaviour is disgusting all to save a few pence. I believe this lady to be a culprit.0

I used to work in Selfridges food hall, and if customers picked up bread at 25% off, knowing it should get reduced to 50% later I would refuse to do further discounts. If its in your basket/trolley then you committed at the price shown in my opinion.0 -

Lisa says she gets stuck in as there can be a lot of people at the reduced-to-clear section.0

I like a good YS item like the next one but I only buy things I need or like or if something is new - just to try.
I remember years ago I got a large bit of meat and a woman (who I knew) next to me said - you don't need that big bit just for you (at the time I was on my own) - you best give it to me for my children. I said I was going to cut it and freeze it for later days. She wasn't happy said I was selfish.
I have also had people take stuff out my trolley - which I find very rude, so I turn the label away so they don't see the YS0 -

They have done this to me. But later, they abandon their trolley down another aisle and I take out what they took from my trolley. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Do they do this right under your nose or when you've not got hold of the trolley?0 -
I find this shocking behaviour (not by the MSE posters).

I never abandon my trolley. Must when I had my eyes on the shelves down another aisleThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

So have you ever seen anyone actually do this?
I can't understand why anyone would go to the lengths of taking an item out of someone else's trolley - because it was a YS bargain - only to abandon it later.0
