If the scheme gives you the right to transfer, the requirement is that you obtain advice from a pension transfer specialist, not that you follow it.

As I mentioned, the deal from my former employer includes paid for advice from a pension transfer specialist, which I can access next week. Could anyone tell what sort of money I might have to pay for the transfer, the value being c.£90,000? Assuming I can't do it myself once the IF A has confirmed I have received advice.

apart from the advice you can DIY and it should be cost-free.
