My parents tried a family members one and liked it and now want their own, but not sure which one to get, the vivy one I think is the cheapest but it doesn't hold much water and I've read it doesn't fill a cup. Or the tassimo suny for £55 on amazon, but whats the difference between, Capacity 0.8 litres and Volume Capacity 1.4 litres? Or would the vivy hold enough water and it is any good. Not sure what to get for them but want something good.

B&M stores have a Tassimo Vivy coffee machine for £39.99.

The different volume in water is how many cups of coffee you can make without refilling water tank.
I use mine everyday and buy pods from Amazon or any supermarket that have the pods on offer.
07 litres is nearly 25 fluid ounces
08 litres is 27 fluid ounces
Bit cheaper on Amazon.

If it's any help, I have a Tassimo, it's the Fidelia (only an older version, it effectively does the same thing but doesn't look as sleek) if you were after the same model (holds 2L btw) it's available on Amazon at the moment: https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Coffee-Tea-Espresso/Bosch-TAS4011GB-T40-Maker-Silver/B00193RV90/ref=sr_1_9?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1501125220&sr=1-9&keywords=tassimo+machine
However; there is a later model as the page explains.
As to 800mls not filling a cup...exactly how large are your mugs? 800mls is a kinda huge mug there. Maybe look at models which can hold more water, but most of the pods wont give you more than about 250mls anyway (you can add more than one pod after the other or add plain water but the pods themselves are not mega cup size in general- this may change but I can't see them making coffee pods for just shy of a liter of coffee!)
If you wanted more user experiences, there is a facebook page people report and chat about their Tassimo experiences, though most posts are about different types of coffee pods, changes of pod quality and so on, some do post up problems or resolutions for problems with their machines which should give you a good idea on what to avoid.0
