Evening all, not a nsd, but potentially everything spent is on expenses, but as I've had to chase the expenses/subsistence policy from hr again. I'm not holding out much hope.
Wages paid today (so childcare and 'wage storage' pots topped up)
Work expenses paid, small ones this month, only £56, so £6 into the mop pot and £50 into the expenses slush fund.
Breakfast & lunch bought 'on the road' car filled up, but used expenses slush pot (so that will need topping up again at the end of Feb) and I had to create a dart charge accpunt yesterday. Really
Impressed with the prepay discount. I had to top the account up by £10 when I opened it, and I was expecting it to be empty by the time I finished my 4 trips this week, but it seems they'll be a little left over towards future journeys. I'll open an off budget account to keep track of it as I will rarely use it, so will need to keep track.
Tomorrow is public transport into north east London, £5.70 on the oyster/debit card system and probably a lunch purchase.
And I can finally do my rally rather pathetic January round up. Haven't hit either my mop pot or EF targets. Boo hiss.
A few days ago I put a summary of my 'money saved for annual bills' on here. Tonight, for all insomniacs, is my 'these are my savings pots' when I actually look at it, I'm not doing too badly:
Long summer gig with hubby: £350 (£50 a month put in)
Christmas: £50 (£50 a month put in)
Rainy day/emergency fund: £735 (£35 a month plus 'windfalls'
White goods repai/replace £255.00 (£5 a month)
Car service, mot & tax etc £511.76 (car due a service when I get home)
Annual house commercial deep clean £150 (won't need this if I keep flyladying
Wool fund: £19
Gift money £11
Short term savings challenge £40
Wage storage £400
That all adds up to £2521.76, which is over 1 months current budget amount and could probably stretch to two months if I didn't fund the savings/annual bills for a month.
So all in all, not bad going...

This post is my daily update, then I'll do a monthly round up, then I'll target set for Feb....
Woohoo January is over. Hooray, it has been long, dark and miserable.
Not a nsd today, I had to buy migraine tablets on the way home from my work to deal with the aura that was developing. It did develop, but no where near as bad as it could have been.
My work visit tomorrow has been cancelled, which is a pain as I'll have to re arrange it for another time in the year, but it does mean I get a day out with Pickle and hubby tomorrow, which will be lovely.
Enough rambling for today..

Mini targets 1&2 achieved, so that's the interest overpaid and another brick in my 100 countdown house.
Will continue to set £210 as my mop pot target each month, I don't want to keep having to play catch up and never feel like I'm succeeding.
2) EF to £2000
£61.18/£150 for January.!!!10060;
3) £2 coin challenge - will report at the end of the year. (None received in January)
4) NSD challenge
15/15 !!!9989;
5) jean challenge, bought 2 new pairs of size 16 jeans, so 1 dress size to drop.

Lost count half way through the month - will try harder.

last say of work for the week today and the last visit that I've got booked in for a while. It's safe to say, I'm shattered and Pickle is not sleeping well, as usual.
Small groceries spend today to contribute to tea at aunt & uncle's house. So some tillytidying to do from that and some more direct debits that went out today.
Mortgage interest has been applied so I have sorted out my mop pot targets.
Expenses wise, I'm now owed a lot, but that's to yesterday's cancellation, I've not had to fill the car up again so, although my expenses at the end of February won't be as hog as I originally calculated, I've not spent out as much as I thought I'd have to. Will do all the calculations on Tuesday and prep my form for submission.
Hoping for a lazy weekend, Pickle is shattered due to the amount of activities Daddy has for with him this week, and his lack of napping. So he needs a rest too.
