Why did they take £50?Gone ... or have I?0

No the bank would not refund you because you voluntarily gave them your card details and they have offered you a loan deal (albeit with a guarantor).
Strictly speaking in doing this they have kept within the law just - morally of course they are just scumbags.
One last point I would like to make if £50 is a lot of money to and you say that you are on benefits why are you borrowing this money and how would you make the repayments?0 -
they said that i could repay at 45 a month, and i need to pay off my debts that my ex left me with, they took the 50 as a brokers fee.so in other words i have lost my cash yet they offered a money back if they they couldnt find me a loan, this aint fairReplies to posts are always welcome, if they are done in the correct manner. Go over to the Debt free wannabe board and make out a full statement of affairs ie list all your income and expenditure including the debts that your ex has left you in.
You could also have a chat with the National debt helpline who may give suggestions as to your best way forward.
If you can afford to pay £45 per month the debtors may take instalments from you without you having to get a loan.0
