Just saw this on Hotukdeals and snapped it up. Also got the rechargeable one that was on sale a few weeks ago

It's through the official Dyson outlet, so hoping it's reliable. Free 30 returns and free delivery. Worth a try.

If it's been refurbished by Dyson I wouldn't doubt its quality (I have studied its operations). But I do think they are meanies with their discounting: just 25% off? Also v typical of Dyson.

Conclusion: if you think it's good value for money, go for it!

I'm on my 4th Dyson but it will be my last as I'm sure there are better out there.
The first DC01 was the best in my opinion.
Some models are really deep and do not clean up to low level items like kitchen cupboard doors or low radiators, as i have carpet in my kitchen.
I now have a Dyson ball which is great to push but suction is rubbish compared to my very first DC01.

Sorry for the rant, good luck with your model, do report back!
curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!

If I were you, I'd offer your feedback directly to the company. Knowing what an utter perfectionism James Dyson is, I think he'll take it very seriously!

I have friends who work for Dyson - they don't get great discounts off products either! But on the plus side, many local organisations have been gifted items for 'testing'.

Thanks - I've been looking for a good cordless vacuum. I bought the Dyson V6 Absolute. It's fabby! My current Miele cat and dog one is around 15 years old, and whilst it's still a brilliant cleaner it weighs 8.5kg, so getting it up and down three flights is a nightmare! Love how light the Dyson is in comparison.
