Surveys are ok but you can only do them when the companies want you to and often if you don't do them straight away they are already full up. Having said that I have got around £200 in vouchers from surveys over the last year.
Sign up for as many as you can. have a look on Quidco and many sites pay you to sign up to survey companies in the first place.
Also daily click sites can be good if you can be bothered to do it. Again I have had a couple of hundred pounds, maybe more, in the last year.

Ebay can be hit or miss. Sometimes an item won't sell first time round but will get lots of bidders on a relist. You really can't tell. I try to sell the kid's old stuff seasonally eg summer clothes at the start of summer, good condition toys from now, Halloween costumes around now etc

Have a look on the freebies board for a Pigsback thread. Read the first three posts and feel free to ask someone to refer you as then they get a fiver when you claim a reward. I have been a member for about 5 months and have 25 pounds worth of vouchers waiting for me to order.

What about mystery shopping? You can take your child with you although you have to declare your income I think.
