Buying my parents house to save them from homelessness

    As a plan B, would it be possible for you to support them renting? If you put the £400/month you intend into renting that would make their money go much further?

    Surely renting would mean they would have funding from the sale? If the funding drops below a certain level then housing benefit would cut in. I can't see any reason to fund their rental if they have capital available as it would possibly delay their ability to claim housing benefit.
