I'm looking to take the kids for a few days in Manchester this Aug and looking for some ideas of what to do. We have been before and did airkix, media city and national war museum and am looking for something a little different. The boys are 15 and 12 and neither are interested in football. Would love some ideas on where to go.

We are getting the train down and planning on staying at a premier inn either Manchester central or Salford central hotel, we'll be using public transport to get around, thanks0

There are loads of museums in central Manchester M.O.S.I and Manchester museum are great.
China Town. Underground tours, a breakout room experience, aquatic center,
You say you've done the sky diving, near to there ( Trafford centre) is Chill Factore and underneath PlayFactore opposite is Go air , a trampoline park and obviously the Trafford centre for shopping or food. Outside the Trafford centre is an aerial extreme.
Further afield but on the Met tram line is Heaton Park ( biggest in Europe) which has a golf course, boating lake and as of yesterday Tree top Trek.
Again on the tram line, there's Bury, great market and as posted above a steam train you can take a ride on.
Hope that helps a bit.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0
