Joint mortgage, splitting up, unmarried

This kind of straddles mortgages and house forums but I'll try my luck here first.
I am splitting up. We have a joint mortgage.
We both contributed towards the deposit.
We are not married.
I pay household bills, food, gas etc. They pay the mortgage.
So things are roughly even, but what situation does this leave me in? Ideally I'd prefer it was sold for a clean break for both of us but they think that because it comes from their bank account that me paying the other bills counts for nothing and I get my deposit back and that's it.

I will be seeking professional advice soon but any ideas where I stand?
