Apparently @mytwitterhandle is shadowbanned.
First make sure the user exists, then you may also visit this link to a search on Twitter. If you can't see any tweet made by @mytwitterhandle, this user is most likely shadowbanned. ..... so I checked and I could see my tweets??? So maybe I am not shadowbanned???

we are not being "shadowbanned" I doubt this even exists outside of crazy conspiracy theories. if they want to ban accounts they will see @nero. (side note, horrible man).

there has been several twitter updates lately and I believe they were targeting the use of outside apps to post tweets and follow. a lot of bots will use these but unfortunately Rafflecoptor and Gleam have been also hit.
to counter they filter you out of everyone elses notifications meaning they don't see if you mention or retweet them. thus less spam for everyone.
the only solution is to keep complaining! the more people who shout hey I'm not spam the more they will have to rethink.

I just tried and got exactly the same. I don't understand how if I am shadowbanned, people have liked my tweets or retweeted my retweets. Surely they couldn't do this if they cannot see them.

I tried my twitter and a couple of friends.

Results:

NOT shadowbanned (and tweets show up when searching from:yourtwitterhandle)
Me - I have only won on twitter twice in 3 years
Friend 1 - won once in 1 year
Friend 2 - won nothing in 6 months

shadowbanned (and tweets do not show up when searching from:yourtwitterhandle)
Friend 3 - really lucky on twitter, has won several times per month for last 6 months

Seems to be the opposite of what you'd expect for mainly comping accounts who enter a similar amount of comps on a daily basis? So doesn't seem to affect comping?

So does this shadowbanning (if it exists) come and go? If I were to lay off twitter for a bit apart from the odd tweet, would my account behave normally?

I really wouldn't worry too much, I've been filtered for two years now I think it is (mainly as I used to use twitaculous I believe) and it hasn't affected my wins. Only thing with filtered is searching your username you don't come up but promoters wouldn't be searching your username to pick winners they'd be searching hashtags etc.

I'd still avoid twitaculous though especially now there is the locking accounts issue.

Yesterday as an experiment I tweeted a random made up hashtag that nobody else would use. This does not show up when I search not logged in to twitter in an incognito window, but it does show up when I search for it logged in on a normal window. I think I am going to cut right back on twitter comps.

To be honest the twitter search thing seems to be rubbish anyway. I use it to search for wins and it doesn't find ones I know I've had. And using the advanced search and the normal search brings up different results for all sorts of searches.

People still see your tweets, I just think it's a case of no one getting notifications from you.

The few people that I knew were tweet filtered are all showing now, but people that are search filtered aren't.

Tweet filtered = comments not showing to others under posts and no notification when you comment. Previous experience shows it can come and go so break up your activity to try and avoid it reappearing.

Search filtered = When your name is searched nothing shows bar other peoples replies or comments to you. Only an issue in hashtag comps other than that it means nowt. Used to last 24hrs or so till you triggered it again by heavy usage but now seems to be many days.

If you comment on a low entry comp, copy the url and look at it under private browsing to see if it shows, if it shows you are fine and tweet filter free.

Your comments will always show when you look at them from your own acct.
