    If the finance is solely in his name and he fails / chooses not to make the remaining payments, then yes.

    You can walk away from the car, should you wish, same with the credit card. The OD is a bit more tricky. Both you and your ex are jointly and severally liable for that, you can't just pay half and walk away. You haven't said whether £1200 would cause you financial problems, you may be better just paying it and walking away.

    Thanks Steve, i wouldn't be able to pay the full overdraft off in one go, i would have to look at setting a payment plan with the bank to pay it off as soon as possible.
