DIP expiry question

We had a DIP from Nationwide on 23/4. Had an offer accepted on a house 15/6 but needed to borrow more so had to call up Nationwide for a revised DIP. It's taken a while but we finally got it today. However it says it expires on 23/7, which isn't long. They couldn't give us a full mortgage application appointment until next Tuesday 11/7, does this means we've only got 12 days to get a mortgage offer from them before the DIP expires?! Is there anything we can do to extend it if that's the case?
