I am going to Hull in the next month - can anyone recommend the best and cheapest way to get there from London?

Almost certainly the cheapest way will be by Megabus (google it), it just depends on whether their timetable and journey times suit you.
You would take the train from St Pancras to East Midlands Parkway and then swap to a coach for the remainder of the journey.

Have a look at hotels or Airbnb in Hounslow/Acton Town or the north end of the Piccadilly line. It's then an easy journey to Leicester Square for the show.

I'd recommend the Tate Modern (free) and a walk on the South Bank (free/outdoors) to anyone who hasn't been before.

I guess 'she' is someone else?

Ah.. you are going to Hull and 'she' is going to London.

This looks like a case of two threads being better than one. ;)

Okay, sorry, I shall explain myself better.

I am going to Hull and bringing a friend of mine to London to go to The Coliseum. She has never been to London before, so I thougbt instead of taking her straight back, I thought I would show her some sights. I thought maybe a Hop On / Hop Off bus tour or a boat trip down the Thames or something?
