Anyone else bank with BOI how long does it usually take a Cheque to clear ?

    I've my business account with them. Five working days i think?

    Bank transfers are about that length of time too.

    Rang them today they said 5 working days I lodged last Wednesday so will most likey be this coming Wednesday seems rather a long time woud be interesting to see what other Banks times are like?

    I dont think for cheque many better that. I think Nationwide is 5 days too.

    Its the transfers that bug me with BOI. Nationwide & Halifax - a matter of minutes tops. BOI = 5 days. And it disappears from your account instantly too - it just doesnt appear in the other account for 5 days.:mad:

    It's the 2-4-6 system. 2 days to start paying you interest. 4 days for funds to be available. 6 days the cheque can bounce.

    I believe it's will be shortened this year but can't remember how much.
