Not too bad for our food shop! My husband goes back to work soon so we are starting to look at tackling our debt! We have just apply for a new credit card to do a balance transfer for the big debt! So that should be sorted soon then we will pay the balance as quick as we can! All other accounts will be closed. We should be getting his first pay back from work around 4th August!

Worrying about Xmas already though! We normally throw it all on the cards but really don't want to this year! Our sons birthday is Xmas day aswell! I'm going to start his birthday day so we have at least that done! Christmas shopping will be started 1st September! Sales and discount shops! Going to limit family presents. One year I would love not to worry about every single penny we spend.

    Birthday party stuff: £12
    Takeaway: £9

Birthday party all sorted now! Daughter decided she wanted a party a few weeks before her birthday! She has also decided she wants completely different presents! She will have to wait till Xmas for her new list!

The takeaway was naughty! I can't control myself! I've been getting testing done about my stomach pains and I finally got the all clear on my bloods which is a huge relief so we celebrated by putting greasy food in my stomach... Logic anyone?? :rotfl:

No more though I need to eat healthy and save money! My husband balance transfer looks like it's going ahead no idea about the length of the transfer need to wait for his card to get the details! I know it means our debt has gone up but hopefully this will give us motivation to get it paid off!

It's my 30th birthday next year and I really wanted to be debt free before then! Plus I want a holiday abroad! We have not been abroad as a family of four yet and we haven't been since out daughter was 1 she will be 7 on Sunday! But we need to make sure we can afford it all!

Need to go to town tomorrow and get daughters balloon! (Already purchased as it was a rare unicorn balloon that they said wouldn't be in stock by her birthday!) daughter has a horse riding lesson but this is paid for by my parents!

5 days till hubby is back in work!! Conveniently the kids break up on Friday so won't get much time to myself! The summer holidays need to be planned!

Hospital : £5 - we managed to get parked for free but after a very long wait we got thirsty and bought some drinks!
Daughter: £5 - we borrowed some of her birthday money and paid her back today!
Petrol: : £20 - hubby back at work Wednesday so need to up our petrol spends!

Tomorrow is another day at the hospital this time for myself! Going to get my dad to drop me off instead of driving there! Should be a nsd as nothing really needs to be bought!

Looking back through this diary I've realised we spend money every day sometimes on stupid unnecessary stuff! Thus must stop! We need to be debt free ASAP as we need to buy a new car pretty soon!

    Today's spends

    Food shop: £43.37
    Electric: £10
    Car: £50

    Finally... It's been a NSD!!!! :T:T

Husband gets paid tomorrow but we don't know how much as it will still be sick pay but he is finally back to work full time and he should be getting a decent wage next fortnight!

We have a plan to start paying back our debt! So there should be more debt updates! Going to do pay a day starting on Saturday!

    Till then xx

Husband got paid today he only got basic sick pay but it was more than we thought. so the money we have been keeping back, (in case his pay was bad) we decided to use this to make a payment towards the debts!

    Debt 2 - £100 started at £675 now £575
    Debt 4 - £100 started at £1966 now £1866

We now owe a total of £2807 (including the debt 3, which is our sofa)

Going to aim on getting debt 2 gone first as this is interest bearing.

    Debt plan
    £250 a month for debt 2
    £50 a month for debt 4
    £45 a month for debt 3

Once debt 2 is paid we will pay £300 a month on debt 4

Hopefully debt free before I'm 30 at the end of April :rotfl:
