What Do they see on your credit file

Hi there
Just wondering what the credit card company's see when they view my credit file.
I am about to start on a self managed dmp and in the process of filling in my I&E for when lenders ask for it but am wondering if they can view my credit file to see what my total debts are to other lenders.
I know when I log in I can see them all but do they get to see the same as me and are they even able to access it without my permission?
Thanks

I believe they can see amounts and type of credit but not who the lenders are. They already have your permission when you applied

They'll see all your debts, but not the names of the lenders.

I once applied for a loan over the phone and they did a credit search while I was waiting.

They then started reading out my debts to me, including the names of the creditors.

So I'm surprised to hear that they shouldn't be able to see that.

It's news to me that creditor names are suppressed.

I thought they get the exact same information that you get when you apply for a copy of your file with the 1 exception that they won't see any 'soft' / quotation searches.

This is from the Experian website :

"When a lender pulls your credit report, they can see identifying information, your trade lines (accounts), credit inquires, public records and accounts in collection. Your credit report also shows things such as the different types of credit that you use, the length of time your accounts have been open, and whether or not you’re paying your bills on time each month. Information like this adds the layers lenders need when making conclusions about your creditworthiness.

All the factors that go into calculating your credit scores are shown on your credit report, and the report itself tells a vivid story of your credit use over time. Your credit report shows what types of credit you use (and when in the past that credit mix has changed), and whether or not your accounts are in good standing. It tells lenders how dependent you are on your current credit and if you’ve been seeking out new sources of credit. Your lender can gather other information about you and your financial habits from other sources – and they certainly might – but your credit report gives them the most complete view of your credit history".
