THEY do things like that - THEY are going to switch off the internet too - and THEY helped Lord Lucan disappear (and his kayak too) and THEY were involved in Diana's death - Just ask Al Fayed!0 -

Don't know where you are but MK had a Volvo estate with 6 months TAX & MOT gifted a while back and we have had various cars and vans offered in Luton.
Keep looking!0 -
Some of the political parties represent TRADE and a dent in sales won't go unnoticed.
Already in my little town, the Chamber of Trade have forced the local council to restrict secondhand sales from the Household Recycling Centre.
What of all the small shops being put out of business.
Can't have that. They have staff to pay and local and main taxes to pay. Gotta keep the system going.0 -
Well I certainly feel able to make moral judgements about them - they have lower standards than your average 'Rag & Bone' man.
If there was nothing wrong with them grabbing everything that came up for resale, why not put a note on their email, requesting the items;
"I am a trader who will be selling your items in a boot sale or on EBAY"
How much response do you think they would get?
Without that note, it is simply deception.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
FREECYCLE will be banned eventually.
Cheap stuff via church and boot sales and auction YES, but Free upsets the system and all this toing and froing on the roads aint doing the environment a lot of good.
Nice while it lasts.
Shopping will also be banned then unless you walk! Thats just twaddle!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

Misscomickat - if your email program allows it, maybe you could try setting up filters so that the freecycle mail is delivered into separate folders for offered, wanted, taken? Then you could keep an eye on the offered stuff and just browse the wanteds at your convenience without it taking over your usual inbox.
Mine would definitely be unmanageable if I wasn't doing that

Small and large retailers have to abide by trading standards and health and safety.
There ought at least to be a level playing field.
Even auction halls have to check electric appliances for safety and not sell furniture that has no fire label.
If ever there is a restraint on Freecycling, this is where it will come from.
And if re-sellers are asked to be upfront, let the same apply to the offerers. For example:
"sideboard available, full of woodworm"..."offered..vacuum cleaner..could be unsafe but it's free, what do you expect"0
