Anyone got any thoughts around this?
Seems a lot less hassle as these funds are managed or is it not a good idea to put everything in to one fund?
Well that "one" fund pretty covers thousands of companies so if you want low hassle and are happy with the span of companies it covers, why not. It's not "one" in the sense that putting all your money in Carillion or any other single company is.0 -
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same but wanted to check the advice of others.
Just need to decide between the 80 and 100 funds now.0 -
VLS funds are not managed - they are fixed allocations and are automatically rebalanced. I like VLS funds, but if you are talking about investing a substantial amount, say over £50k, I personally wouldn't invest it all in any one fund as the FSCS limit for a single fund house is £50k.Retired_Minky wrote: »I'm thinking of investing the lot in Vanguard LifeStrategy 80 or 100.

If you are considering investing in a 100% equity fund like VLS100, do you have the risk tolerance to cope with a possible 40% or 50% fall in the value of your investment within the next few years? If not I would consider a less volatile multi asset fund.0
