    Since nobody else asked - I just noticed you are a builder of some sort. Was this a work related injury, or was the employer in any way responsible for the accident? Because that might factor in the decision.

    A Plumber and though Im used to working up ladders etc I fell from a ladder trying to cut down a tree in my own back garden. Idiot :)

    Ok. If you're going to fall off ladders, in future try to do it at work :rotfl:

    Woo hoo. Got my neck brace off today. So unbearably uncomfortable. Still have arm sling on for a while. Had a visit at home from employer and he is going to try and arrange to have my holiday wages paid on top of ssp if it's possible he has no prob doing that. It will be a help tbh as another few weeks at £88 or whatever the ssp is certainly won't pay the bills. Prob be off about 8 weeks in total and most of my policies for mortgage etc don't kick in until 3 months or so. Just gonna have to be sensible with money. On the plus side I needed to lose some weight maybe starving is as good as any:D:D
