Working 8 Night Shifts in a Row...

Hi all,
I work in retail and I've just seen my rota for the next couple of weeks. I've been rota'd to work eight night shifts in a row with no day off in-between. The maximum hours that I'll have to work during this period is 85:30 (hrs/mins).
Is this legal? Or do I have to give permission for this.
Thanks in advance

OK you will need to explain a lot more than this for an answer. We need to know the basis of your employment contract, how your work patterns are determined, what your hours of work are, and the exact times that you have been allocated to work. The fact is that based on what toy have said here, it could be either lawful, or not! Nothing tells us which way that goes...0 -
TBH working 8 nights on the trot (then 6 days off, I imagine, if you've reached 'hours') is actually much nicer than doing a night and day mix - you get rest time in between to sleep and do stuff ;-)0

This does not necessarily apply. It is for people who regularly work nights. And there is no evidence the OP does. Nor that they are an employee- they could be zero hours, in which case whether they accept the hours will be their decision.

My apologies for the lack of info.
I have a work fulltime (35 hr) as a team leader for the company. My role is not specified as a night worker, as such, though I am able to oblige to them along with my day shifts.0 -
Please see the questions I asked. Telling us you work 35 hours as a team leader doesn't help. If you do not regularly work nights then the link doesn't apply to you. Also, have you asked why you have been allocated these shifts together? How long have you worked there?0
