Reason for leaving??

Hi
How do you explain to a prospective new employer that your reason for leaving your current job is that you don't get on with the management style of your boss ( bin there 3months!) micro management or changing mind about priorities and workload, ignoring me one minute and excluding me from things then changing his mind again!
How do you explain that??

Decided the job wasn't for you so you're looking into other areas of work in a similar field?

You don't - not in those terms anyway. Stay professional because if you say negative things about your boss (even if true) it can make you look like a divisive person and they will be wondering if/how you will fit into a new team.

So things like job wasn't what you expected (get some positives in if you can about anything you've learned while there), or that it wasn't a good fit for whatever reason but you've learned xyz and you really want to work for them because....
You need to convince them that you're not going to slag them off or move on after two months if they employ you.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

It wasn't demanding enough, didn't use your full potential etc. Do some research with the new place, comparing it to the old one, and emphasise the technical differences. Is it an easier commute, bigger so more job prospects etc ?

    Hi
I had no intention of criticising my boss, I just wondered how to put it in a positive way! I like the idea of saying what I learnt but it's not for me.... And dint know how a new boss would view that and it's also difficult to quit after only a few months!
I will keep looking and think of the positives
    Thanks

And if you are looking at bigger companies, you 'want the opportunity to develop further'. Basically, whatever the new company can offer, that's what you say you want, but weren't getting from the old company.
No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...

I like it! It is a small co where I am currently and options are very limited! Probably why he goes over everything in fine detail!
    Thanks

This has to be one of the most pointless questions to ask a potential employee. Hardly anyone answers it honestly. I'm sure even the person asking it knows that most people won't be honest.

For example I'm currently looking for a new job as I don't like our new Director, getting fed up of the politics and I want more money. Can hardly hand over any of those as my reason for leaving so I have to give some pointless answer about seeking new challenges.

You don't have to give a reason, but if you are leaving after 3 months and don't give a reason, they are going to assume you are failing probation.
