Hi I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the best smart phone apps for helping with budgeting etc? So many out there I guess they aren't all as good as each other.

Lots of people use You Need A Budget - BUT it's chargeable and I have to say that for me, spending money to save money never seems like a great tradeoff.
Do you currently have a budget in place? By which I mean something like the SOA we direct people to on here, written down and that you've been sticking to?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Don't over complicate budgets. What is important is keep a track on your spends. Always put aside at the start of pay period. You could try two savings accounts one for building up savings, one just in case you need it.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -
Datlex - I think that's why it works for me. I don't overcomplicate. Once I've paid out everything I have to per month, I know what I have left for whatever I want and anything surplus gets thrown at the debts.Savings as of April 2023 Savings account - £26460.50(14474.88)Current account - £2140.24(4576.79)Total - £28600.74(19051.67) £1010 (£65pm CS/BS) £250 CS/BS/JS0
