Employer is refusing to pay my flatmate until her last day of work

The plane ticket thing sounds utterly bizarre. Whose name do they expect the ticket to be in? Donald Duck? How do they expect her to travel if the name on the ticket doesn't match her passport?

But it matters little. They wanted someone to do some housework as well as look after the children. She doesn't want to do housework as she has a bad back. They hired the wrong person. She jumped before she was pushed. As long as she does get her due pay in the end, using the small claims court if necessary (and they have paid the correct amount of tax) I don't see what she needs to be advised on.
