Anyone living in Mallusk?

I seen there was a thread on this area a few years back but it is now closed. I couldn't gather that much information from the posts apart from that it is bad in the snow.

I am looking at the Mayfield, Aylesbury, Dermont, Blackrock area of Mallusk. I am originally from Newry and have been priced out of most parts of Belfast. I was therefore looking at this area. However, I have no idea about the development. I had a look around at the weekend and there seems to be hundreds of houses with more developments on the way.

If anyone lives in the area or knows someone who does could they shed some light on the following issues:

1. how house prices in area have fared in last few years since they purchased- increase, decrease, stayed the same etc
2. quality of homes- mostly fraser
3. which area of Mallusk would be the best area
4. update on the proposed Arch 21 incinerator
5. any social/sectarian issues- I am in a mixed marriage
6. local amenities
7. quality of schools
8. any other points of importance

I lived in Mayfield High Street until 2010. There was quite a large problem with anti social behaviour by local kids hanging about the streets. A lot of families with school age kids had moved to the area when it opened, and there wasn't much for kids to do. That was 7 years ago, hopefully things have improved.
