Is there a simple way to work out the % gain in your pension when you have numerous funds?
For example Fund 1 is 30%, 2 is 30%, 3 is 15%, 4 is 15%, 5 is 5% and 6 is 5% of allocation.
Performance from 1 to 6 is +19%, +23%, +3%, +15%, +32% and +5%. If there was no contributions it would be easy to work out gain/loss every year.

I'd work out each ones contribution to the portfolio then add them all up, I.E.:-
Fund 1 = 30% holding at 19% gain therefore 0,3 x 19% = 5.7% increase to the portfolio.
Do the same to them all then add them all up.0 -
Excel XIRR function will handle contributions and deductions on specified dates.0

You may find setting up a portfolio on one of websites that offers these for free, is a useful way to track performance. The best ones are Morningstar or Trustnet.0

I agree. I am using Trustnet and it does all the calculations.0
