Evening
I sat up last night reading a book on my kindle as OH was away to bed super early (he is working today). I kind of regret it now as I'm a bit knackered....I like my sleep a lot.
Today wasn't overly exciting... I tidied the house, made lasagne for tea tonight & met a cousin for a chat over a coffee.
Money front - Today was just the usual diesel and grocery shopping. I've gone over my grocery budget already and I have 2 weeks of the month left:o. I do have underspending in some other YNAB categories so will bump some money around to cover it but will try to reduce grocery spends. £30 diesel & £31.80 groceries.
I managed some Swagbucks surveys but nothing on Prolific but I assume that is because it is the weekend.
Plans this evening ...wine, good company & putting the world to rights.

Hi
I've been a busy bee so haven't had a chance to update. Today was hump day so happily sliding back down the end of a week into the weekend.
Money front - the Next order I placed hasn't arrived yet but I've already decided it's going back. I had an NSD on Monday but I had to spend £6 on parking yesterday & then I took my colleague out for lunch today for her birthday so that was £22.
I have just completed a £4 Prolific survey so hopefully that will track. It is really hard to do when you have a mini Yorkshire terrier determined to get all your attention, at one point he laid across the keyboards and nearly ruined my survey:p.0 -

Morning,
Today has been good and I have a bit of energy about me. Started off with a 3 mile run/walk in my local forest with my dog and met some lovely people on the way.
I cleaned out my car which I have been ignoring for weeks and then nephew number 2 (who is with me today) negotiated £5 out of me if he cleaned the house. I must admit it isn't a bad job ....but I will probably go over it again tomorrow when he is away home:o. I have an ironing pile I'm psyching myself up to tackle.
Money front - I've been reading some new frugal blogs and am going to try out a new envelope system. Basically on an envelope you divide your budget into Groceries (which covers everything you would buy in a supermarket from food to smellies etc) and the Other category is for everything else (including liquid gold/diesel). The 1 envelope is divided into 2 columns and 4/5 rows depending on weeks per month. It's not the same as the envelope system which has lots of envelopes for each category. I'm hoping that it will limit my budget so that I can't borrow from different categories.
Holiday front - I have found a holiday for OH & I in Greece for a week in Sept for £400. I know that if we flew from England it would be so much cheaper but unfortunately we have to pay extra for the privilege of living in N Ireland:o. A colleague has been to the same hotel and she says that it isn't fancy but lovely and clean and handy to beach and restaurants but not in the middle of it all. Hopefully I will corner OH tonight and get it booked tonight using Topcashback.0 -

Morning
I started my morning with a spiced carrot muffin from lovely M&S and 2 coffees. OH is snoring happily away but we booked a holiday last night in Zante and I've been up relaxing and looking at holiday pictures and Trip advisor reviews ....again. In approximately 6 & 1/2 weeks we will be jetting away to the sunshine.
I booked our holiday with Jet2 for a week and I used Topcashback which if it all tracks properly I will get £26.26 back (sitting as Pending now). I know we spent £900 on the holiday (b&b) but I'm still happy to get the cashback. I also used Moneysupermarket to get the cheapest travel insurance (£13.75) and the cheapest airport carparking was £43.48. Baggage was part of the deal and I ignored the in flight meals because we fly at a reasonable time and we can have breakfast before we go and take snacks with us. I'm pretty sure I don't need anything for the holiday clothes wise but I will go bring out the box from under the bed and see what there is.
Today's plans - not much. House is clean, ironing done & holiday booked. I will have to prepare for work tomorrow but I can leave that to much later.
Money front - holiday paid out of money savings pot, which I will continue to top up. When I checked Topcashback to see that the holiday had tracked I noticed that my car insurance has finally moved to payable (£26 - GoCompare) but I will leave it sitting in there until the holiday one tracks.
Health wise - I know that I wanted to use this diary to move away from my ED issues I had mentioned in my old diary but I have scheduled an appointment with a new therapist (old one has moved miles away but I'm sure that has nothing to do with me). I think it's just a preventative thing as I had been stressed with new job but feeling great and doing well. Unfortunately it is £50 a session and the NHS waiting list is years long so have to pay it myself.
Exercies- I was a Secretary of a running club which I stood down from a year and a half ago as I had moved work locations so not practicable for me. I'm back on as Secretary and I've got my running mojo back:D. I was seeing a personal trainer at a gym and I loved doing weights but he kept cancelling on me which was fine at the start but got really annoying recently and it was really expensive. I've decided to cut him loose and save money by going running and possibly joining Pure gym near me in work which is £14.99 a month (much more reasonable). I will not join anything until I see the therapist on the 02nd August, in case she has some new ideas of what I should be doing.
I think I better move on to tea now as I've hit my coffee limit0 -
