The reason they sell so high on ebay is that they are virtually indestructible! so if you buy one second hand you can be 99.9% sure it will be in good condition, that said they have a very short life before a child doesn't need/like it (weeks) so I would always borrow one if possible. If you do but then you can ebay it for a fair bit of your money back but postage will take a chunk of it.

not to put you off either, and people may well disagree but i have had 2 friends whos babys hated it and cried everytime they went in it
appreciate what you have got x
  • i bought one for my ds and not only did he hate it but he could tip himself out of it by pushing his feet on the floor and tipping it backwards-beware if your little one has long legs....sold mine after having it 2 weeks.

  • I agree, not worth the money and have found more babies tend to hate them than like them.

If when testing one out and your baby does like it, it may be a good idea to either a) find one cheap on high street or b) internet (kiddicare is great) or Ebay.... then sell it on Ebay afterwards as they are a good selling item. (Though depends on whether it's worth the hassle ) but you may make your money back?

Wat about the soft doughnut shaped baby product. I cant remember who makes it argos had them. It has pictures and toys around the ring to keep baby amused. The baby sits in the middle

Think as with most thing kids are all different.
Ours will not on any account go in one of those harness things you strap on your front. Bought 3 different types and she hates them all.

I buy most my baby stuff like that from the boot sale as if it doesnt work its straight on ebay or back to boot sale or worst case scenario i lose a couple of quid.

With regard to the bumbo she loves hers and its great. We use it to feed her and she sits on it at the table when we eat although if anyone walked in the door it would look like she was the main course.

I have seen them at the boot sale as low as £5 but never more than £10 and theres usually one there every week. Ebay they go for 15-20 but the earlier point about them being indestructable is a good one. Ours still looks great and she loves it. Well worth buying second hand.

  • We were bought one for our youngest when he was born and he absolutely hates it. On the other hand our 20 month old thinks its great getting stuck in the seat. As has been said before, all kids are different. I was thinking of outting ours on ebay as it must have been sat in for about 5 mins in total but it is too much of a pain to post
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

our 2 1/2 year still oves it, and it has been really useful. I would certainly try and ask whether someone has one to give on freecycle.
