We have a house which is owned as tenants in common and currently declare half each of the rental income. Now we want to change this so OH gets 99 or 100%.
I know we need to provide evidence to HMRC to show transfer of beneficial ownership.. But, do we need to pay a solicitor to do a declaration of trust?
Or, if I can find a template and make my own, will this work?

I can't quickly find the correct page from the actual HMRC trust manual that covers this, but the info on this page is a direct quote from the trusts manual
Express trusts - written declarion
http://www.deedoftrust.co.uk/index.php/guidance/hmrc-guidance
a declaration such as you need is a simple trust and can be DIY as it needs no more than a single line of wording0 -
