sources of loan advice

I'm in need of a loan and with a Faur credit rating i been rejected by a few lenders.
I have seen some sites offer advice over the phone for instance such as moneysupermarket for those who have been declined thery have a loand centre and various sites that say they search 100's of loans for those with bad credit.
Do these actually work and do the advice telephone services like moneysupermarket.com help at all find me a loan?

In another posting you said that you had been accepted by Barclays at a rate of 22.4% APR.
Take it because these companies who 'find' loans for people with a fair credit rating won't get you a better deal.

I tried that as I was looking for a loan, andf ended up using one of these 'Find a Loan' Companies. I filled in the Form and next day I was contacted by Black Horse who did me a great deal, and then over the next week I had a few more offers by post and phone, of varying degrees of appropriateness. As for my Credit rating, Black Horse call it excellent and yet a few Months earlier, Vanquis declined a credit card - Your rating might not be as bad as you think.

Which company did you use if i may ask.
I seen many and mainly wated to use one that would cater to people with not so perfect credit.

I think it was UCC Loans, but I'm not entirely sure.

I tried UCC loans and now waiting for a offer from a lender.
I'm quite apprehensive about using these as i'm worried about hidden charges.
