My final pay pro rata HELP!!!

So basically I have been paid my final pay. My basic pay is usually 320.14 monthly. It apparently pro rata which I didn't understand and still don't really.
I work every other weekend and have works all 30 hours required that I usually work. I handed in my notice for the 25th June 17. I would not have worked the last 5 days even if I had have put them on my notice. I was unaware that by putting the 25th and not the 30th I have lost out on £50 of wages??? Is that right? Can they do that even though I have worked my contracted 30 hours?

I am so annoyed :-(

Thanks for the help x

OK, as I said in the old thread I think you need to resolve whether you get paid the same amount each month regardless of the number of working days. The number of Saturdays and Sundays in the month can vary. It may be that their calculation takes account of the total number of days worked so far in the year and not just this month?

You need to ask them for a detailed explanation then carefully check the sums. They may have got it wrong but without more information it is difficult to say.

Maybe somebody who deals with payroll on a daily basis will spot something I am missing!

Is that on the basis that you work 30 hours each month? Would you have worked some of these 30 hours in the last 5 days of the month? If so, was there an agreement with your manager that you would work all the 30 hours before the 25th and that this would count as a full month.

From a payroll perspective, it is right that they should have calculated your pay pro-rata on the basis of number of days work. If it was agreed with your manager that you would get full payment for that month, then they should have alerted payroll.

If you normally receive your pay on the last day of the month, but are leaving part way through the month, you won't get a full month's pay in your final pay packet. In the example of the dates you have given, I would expect it to be about £50 'short' which is what you have said. You haven't been under paid.

Ok so I get paid on the 24th of the month. And my contract is for 15 hours per fortnight. Nothing was pre arranged that I would get full pay for the month I just assumed as I had worked the full 30 hours (two weekends) that's what I would get paid for :-( I have spoken to payroll about this and her sums where 320.14/30*25.
I am now wishing I had put my last day as the 30th as I have no more days left to work anyway :-( I just didn't realise :-( thanks so much for your help, I felt like I was being robbed :-(
