I think puzzle 20 is a Violin, a Double Bass has thicker strings, I might be wrong though.

I'd guess violin, as it could be viola or cello even, but violin is the most popular I would think.

I agree, the double bass has a different rest and I don't think this magazine targets the very well educated, high achieving cultured sort who would be better able to distinguish the subtle differences close up

I play the violin and based on the size of the f holes I would definitely agree with violin.
