Tesco's home delivery service has gone into meltdown due to an IT glitch.
The technical hitch is understood to have affected thousands of customers who were expecting deliveries today from over a hundred stores across the UK.
Those expecting their grocery shops this morning were left angry when their orders were cancelled with little explanation or alternative delivery times provided.
A spokesman for Tesco confirmed an IT glitch affecting the store's ability to organise deliveries had been affected.

Has anyone affected by this heard anything from Tesco today? We had a grocery order scheduled for yesterday evening which never turned up. My husband tried to call Customer Services but just got an automated message saying they had a problem with their systems.
According to his Tesco account, the order has been delivered! We really could do with the food and would like it delivered today but again can't get through.
Just wondered if anyone was in the same boat and had heard anything? I also don't want to lose the £10 discount voucher I used on this order.0 -
Tesco banking is also reported to be having issues.
