Buying land with telegraph pole on it

My question is simply this. I am attempting to extend my garden where an existing telegraph pole serving another property is situated, is it just a case of allowing access to BT, or will I have to pay to move it and what would the cost for this be?
Thanks from a newbie!

if you want it moved then cost is down to you, cost is "how long is a piece of string , could involve new cable chambers/ducting/cable etc

For enquiries relating to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland please email:- wayleaves.north@openreach.co.uk for newly installed apparatus or
- wayleaves.insitu@openreach.co.uk for apparatus installed longer than three months; or
- call 0800 581 525 and choose the relevant option

Presumably you're trying to extend by buying the land from the current owner - could you ask him/her what the arrangements are for BT to access the pole?0
