I had a call from capquest saying they bought a debt from Halifax in 2013 which defaulted in 2010.
Two things...I don't thing this is for me and further more if it defaulted in 2010 it's surely over 6 years old and won't appear on any credit score?

Best to start your own new thread rather than tag onto someone else, as you will get more responses.

You can ignore calls, texts, emails etc from debt collectors.
You only need respond to them if you receive something in writing, through the post.
You would then respond with the "provit" letter, available from the stickie section, at the top of the forum, then wait and see what they come back to you with.
If it was statute barred, you would then send the statute barred letter, and that should be the end of it, best to wait and see if they write to you, or not, first.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
