Pretty much - doesn't matter who pays (as long as it's paid) as far as the council are concerned. If it isn't paid though they'll just pursue the liable person.
CraigI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
Does she rent? Or claim any other benefits? If your budget is tight enough that £100 a month is a major problem it's probably best to get everything very clear beforehand so there are no nasty surprises for either of you.0
