Why are edges transparent on some eyeglasses and not on others?

On this eye glasses edges aren’t transparent, they shine white:

While on this one eye glasses corners(edges) are transparent (white isn’t shining):

Do I have to polish or not polish glasses to avoid white shining effect in new frames?

My prescription is:

I'm assuming that you refer to the white rings that seem to be around the edges of certain prescription lenses.

With standard lenses my prescription shows these, but for years I have had the anti-glare coating, which greatly decreases their visibility. They are also less obvious with lighter/thinner lenses.

Moderator told me, that he will insert, but didn't :/.

Yes about them :). For some people they don't appear even with higher prescription, why?

The frames in the first picture are much thinner than the second hence the edges of the lenses are visible in the first but not in the second.

Nothing to do with the actual prescription but to do with the type of frame and the thickness of the lens.

It is the prescription that decides how thick lenses will be, so it is very much to do with prescription.

When Deidre Barlow plastic frames were in fashion ,mine were every obvious but now with metal frames, antiglare and extra light lenses, you can barely see them.

Just avoid "polished edges" - they look pretty but give rainbow effects for the wearer!
