Family Room In Newcastle

Hi,

we wanted to take our kids to Newcastle (or somewhere close) for the weekend of the 27th Oct for the halloween festival.

I phoned newcastle youth hostel but they are fully booked. Does anyone know of somewhere within about a twenty minutes drive that we could stay for a reasonable price. I called the Slieve Donard and nearly fell off my chair when they quoted me.

Thanks

Have stayed in the Briers Country House which is 2 mins from entrance to Tullymore Forest Park - B&B for 2 adults and 3 children was £150 for 2 nights. Lovely place (7 rooms in total)

  • What about the avoca hotel along the front? Stayed there a few summers ago and had a lovely room with fantastic fews of the Mournes. Reasonsbly priced family rooms and they charged the kids according to age.
    Good luck!
