Nationwide Personal Loan, HELP!

Hey, so my partner just signed up to get a personal loan from nationwide who he banks with, and he got accepted on the application it said ...

"Good news steven, we've been given the go ahead for funds to be paid into your account, and a confirmation email is on it's way.
If you chose a Nationwide current account, the money will normally arrive within two hours."

So i checked my emails and he had received an email saying

"We're pleased to let you know we've received your application and we just need some extra information from you.

What do we need from you?

We'll send you a letter shortly which tells you what we need. Once you've provided us with this we'll be able to complete your application.

Thanks for choosing us,

Nationwide

What does this mean, are the funds going in or what will they send? Is there a chance of him being declined now? Has anyone experienced this and how long will this process take or did the funds still go in?

    Why the worry ?

Could be some bank statements are needed, sounds like they need the extra info toaccept him, could take a few days for the money to be received but who knows.
  • it was just confusing they'd been given the go ahead for it to go in, now they need more information? and he banks with them so he's quiet confused

He could phone them and ask.

I understand your worried as it's all gone through before without all this.

So surely the best option would be for Stephen to contact Nationwide for clarification. Nobody here is going to be able to tell you for sure whether the funds will be credited or a letter outlining the further information required will arrive.

The only people who can answer your question without guessing are Nationwide.

if you don't sign electronically then they have to send you the terns and get you to sign that is what normally happens with that messsge, you can go back to the application via the app and sign that way and funds then transferred in 24 hours.

It will all be good you will see.
