Can anyone reccomend a reasonably priced cordless phone with a twin handset for my elderly parents. Both are getting hard of hearing, so looking for something that you can adjust the volume on the handset itself.
Thanks

You may be able to get a free phone from Social Services (varies from area to area), so ask there first before spending. If not, your local deaf association or social services might be able to recommend an equipment room to visit, i.e. try before you buy.
Otherwise try:
http://www.connevans.com/ or BT might be a good choice.
